Just a few words regarding C Bennett, I was in need of a new chimney cap and was given their name by my roofing contractor. I called on the Thursday night before the Memorial Day Weekend and left a message. I was not expecting a return call until later the next week. Much to my surprise Eric Hudson returned my call the next day. I told him what I needed and requested a quote for the job. Within a few days I received the quote. I agreed and a crew was sent out to measure the chimney for fabrication. The cap was fabricated within a couple of days the two man crew (Cody & Jacob) arrived to do the installation. These guys were very professional and explained everything to me in laymen's terms on what they planned to do. The cap was exactly what I needed and looked great at completion. They along with Eric were awesome throughout the entire process. From the very beginning and throughout I was treated as though I was spending thousands of dollars for a large job. Butch Charlton did an excellent job custom designing 2 fireplace mantels/surrounds that met our specific design intent. We wanted 2 similar mantels with curved corbels integrated into the design. One mantel was to be more formal (stained) and the other informal (painted). The craftsmanship of the mantels is outstanding. We are extremely pleased with C Bennett. Our total experience was excellent and we would highly recommend them.

We had a company come out and clean our fireplace flue. While they were cleaning, they found a defect in our flue that needed to be fixed. That company submitted a bid for repair for approximately $3600. We decided we needed a second opinion. We went to Hechler's Hardware Supply in Troy, and talked to a very knowledgeable gentleman, Mr Dan Hechler, there about our fireplace flue and showed him the pictures that were submitted by the company that had cleaned our flu and found the defect. He recognized the fireplace insert as a Superior brand prefabricated fireplace and said to us that he knew that C. Bennett installed these fireplaces. Did we know if C Bennett had installed it or not? We did not know. Mr Hechler suggested that we go to C Bennett and find out ASAP and we did. We were met by Catherine at the receptionist desk, who was very kind and very accommodating. She found for us in their records that they had indeed installed the flue and fireplace. Their manager Steve, set up an appointment based on their observations that the problem with the flue was located at the elbow joint about 6 ft up from our floor. It was not seated correctly. They sent out two gentlemen to repair it. Cody and Tristan came to the house and had our flue fixed within about 30 minutes. They were polite, knowledgeable, quick and left no mess. The issue with the flue could have been at time of installation or by our builder knocking it loose during the course of building our new home. C Bennett did not quibble about the cause of the problem. They just made sure it was fixed quickly and correctly. Sorry this is long, but we truly wanted to share this review of the great service we received from C Bennett. They repaired the flue at no expense to us saying that they stand behind their work and they truly do. My husband and I highly recommend them for your fireplace needs and we plan to use them for flue cleaning in the future. Thank you C Bennett!
